How to mark Assessments
It's essential for Trainers to mark their students' assessments so that IVET can report on the results and issue students with Statement of Attainments and / or awards for their work marked competent.
Once your Students have submitted their assessments, they will be shown as requiring marking.
On your Trainer Dashboard, you can find information regarding the assessments to be marked in the Class Progress section. The To Be Marked Assessments box will show you the number of assessments that need your marking.
There are 3 ways for you to view and access the to be marked assessments:
2. Class Progress section - Go to Class
3. Class Progress section - Go to Student
4. Types of Question: More details about different types of questions can be found in this section.

4. Types of Question:
There are six (6) different types of assessment questions.
When a question is auto-marked, it means that the Portal will recognise the Students’ answer and mark them either as Correct or Incorrect.
There will be a maximum number of attempts allowed for these types of questions. Once that is met, the Student is then required to answer a default short-answer question in their own words.
All questions have a maximum number of times that a Student can receive an Incorrect marking, which will affect their ability to receive a Competency for the unit. The Portal handles the attempts automatically and these settings cannot be overridden.
If you have a Student who is having trouble answering a question and has already reached the maximum number of attempts, you can speak with your School Relationship Officer (SRO) to get advice on how to proceed.
