Delivering your courses
Our Portal enables Trainers and Students to interact actively with each other during courses being delivered from start to finish. The basic process for completing a unit in the Portal looks like this:
Step 1: Activate the unit for the required students in the class: This enables Students to complete the required assessments. You should not have more than 3-4 units activated at a time, as it can become confusing for you and your students to know which unit they are up to.
Step 2: Deliver and train the material through your classes: This is where you will be using the Unit Timelines and go through each of the materials supplied, such as the Student Workbooks, Presentations, Videos or Podcasts and any in-class/homework activities.
Step 3: It is now time for Students to complete the required Assessments for the unit. Assessments are both accessed and completed through the Portal.
Step 4: Once all Assessments have been completed and marked, it is now time to complete any unit Observations required.
Once all of the 4 steps above have been completed, the unit is now finished, and Students can move on to the next one. The Student Progress screen should now show students as either C (Competent) or NYC (Not Yet Competent) against the unit, depending on whether they satisfactorily completed all tasks or not.
